Sculpture model being unveiled

15/03/2010 9:28:01

Weta Workshop is unveiling the model of a $350,000 sculpture for Wellington's waterfront.

The art work will be the centrepiece of Rugby World Cup celebrations in the capita and is likely to be erected near the new Wharewaka, or canoe house, which is under construction on Taranaki Wharf. The area is where Wellington's Rugby World Cup village will be based.

Wellington Mayor Kerry Prendergast and Weta Workshop's Richard Taylor will talk about the concept behind the sculpture and what it means for Wellington during and after the tournament.
