First five Quade Cooper has starred for the Queensland Reds in a 50-10 win over the hapless Western Force in Brisbane.

The Reds scored seven tries to one to move into sixth on the Super 14 table, with the in-form five eighth slotting 13 points with the boot, before being replaced with just over 20 minutes remaining.

The Force remains bottom of the points table.

The defending champion Bulls top the table with the maximum 20 points from four games, one ahead of the Stormers who have played five matches, with the Crusaders and Chiefs, who have also played five matches rounding out the top four.

The Hurricanes are in eighth place on 14 points, the Blues are tenth on nine points having played four games, while the Highlanders are 11th on eight points.

The matches for the New Zealand franchises next week see the Blues host the Brumbies on Friday night. The Hurricanes play the third match of their South African sojourn on Saturday morning against the Bulls in Pretoria, while the Crusaders are at home to the Lions on Saturday at 5:30, followed by the Highlanders hosting the Sharks in Dunedin.

The Chiefs have a bye.
