Funds for new food development facilities

A new network of open-access food development facilities across the country is aiming to open up new product development.

The Government is adding the main ingredient of $21 million so that small and medium businesses can have a place to develop, test and prove new products.

Economic Development Minister Gerry Brownlee says the Government wants to encourage our food and beverage industries to create more value for their products to help raise our economic growth rate.
