The death of a New Zealander in the UK who climbed into a bin and was crushed in a rubbish truck, has been deemed accidental.

Scott Williams was teaching in the town of Kingsbury at the time of his death last July.

The Harrow Times reports after a two day inquest, a jury found Mr Williams got into the bin of his own accord while under the influence of alcohol.

The post mortem examination found he died of crush injuries to the chest caused by the truck mechanism. Tests found he was deaf in one ear and three times over the drink driving limit.
