Video store robber sought in Hawke's Bay

11/03/2010 14:56:01

Hastings police are investigating a robbery of a video store where the offender used a spanner as a weapon.

A man entered the Video Ezy store in Havelock North at closing time just after 9.30 last night.

The male offender armed with what appeared to be a spanner, jumped the counter and began threatening staff and demanding cash.

The store manager complied and the man ran off with the money before getting into a vehicle parked on the side of the road.

Police are looking for the man, described as dark skinned of medium height, wearing a black puffer jacket and fawn coloured plants with two black stripes down each leg.
