Durante snares Player of the Year award

Wellington Phoenix captain Andrew Durante has taken out the A-League club's premier award.

He has been named the Player of the Year ahead of nearest rival Paul Ifill at the club's annual end of season awards dinner.

Ifill swept the rest of the awards though, including golden boot, Members' Player of the Year, Players' Player of the Year and Media Player of the Year.

Midfielder Troy Hearfield's claimed the under-23 Player of the Year award.
