Another hike in fuel prices

10/03/2010 11:52:03

A second rise in fuel prices within a week puts prices at an 18 month high.

BP and Caltex have hiked prices by five cents, putting the price of 91 unleaded at $1.82.9. Diesel prices also went up three cents a litre, to $1.15.9 a litre. The other main players Shell, Mobil and Gull have not yet raised prices.

Shell says it reviews prices daily and does not just follow what BP is doing. Gull is reviewing the situation today and should know by tomorrow morning whether it will be increasing prices.
