Murder trial date to be set for David Bourke

09/03/2010 16:04:01

A man will stand stand trial in November for the murder of his younger brother.

David Bourke, a 47-year-old Whanganui freezing worker, is alleged to have fled from police after failing a breath test, in October last year.

Two days later, when police captured him in Norsewood, the body of his brother Timothy Bourke was found in the back seat of his car.

Bourke made a brief appearance today in the High Court in Palmerston North and will reappear on May 11 to set a date for trial.
