Economy worries for consumers still

The economic future may be looking a little brighter, but research shows consumers are not yet convinced it is in good shape.

A new Consumer Comfort Index released today by UMR Research, shows 45 percent of New Zealanders are not happy with their financial situation.

Research director Gavin White says 64 percent of people do not think it is a good time to buy the things they want and need and they are worried about the cost of living as prices continue to rise.
