Documentary maker ruled against

09/03/2010 14:44:02

The Broadcasting Standards Authority has ruled a TV3 documentary on a Hawke's Bay girl gang exploited four girls and treated them unfairly.

The 60 Minutes report was found to have not protected the identities of the girls and the broadcaster failed to appreciate the harm the item could cause to the reputations and futures of the young girls.

TV Works Limited has been ordered to broadcast a summary of the decision and pay costs of more than $6,000.
