Teen couple out of ICU after bashing

08/03/2010 13:08:02

A teenage couple savagely beaten in West Auckland are now both out of intensive care.

Their conditions are described as critical but stable.

The couple left their home in Massey around 8pm on Saturday. The 19-year-old man was found with horrific injuries in Starling Park, in Swanson, around seven on Sunday morning. The 17-year-old woman was found on the doorstep of a neighbouring property 15 minutes later.

Police say it will be several days before they are well enough to talk to. In the meantime they are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything to come forward.
